God's Pictures

God's fingerprints are all over the place. He reveals Himself to all men throughout creation overwhelmingly and we are left without excuse to acknowlege Him as Creator. Into all that we can experience with our senses, He has crafted pictures that reveal Himself, His character, His ways, and His expectations. They are evident and accessible to all outside any religion or system. Essentially they are love letters to us, telling how things are in this age and what is to come in the next where He will be revealed more fully. These pictures can be surprisingly deep, all without a word. They warm your heart, creating a disposition that prepares you for a deeper understanding of your Creator. He is good! He starts at the beginning and leads you step by step. Taking in these pictures of His can help you get started or provide a more solid basis for your walk with Him.

These pictures are important in God's communication with His creation. Yet, they are becoming increasingly difficult to see in the world today. Why? Well, He has enemies that He, for the moment, allows to oppose Him and have influence in the world. It is no wonder every one of these pictures is attacked relentlessly, distorting, perverting, and otherwise spoiling. The existence of this warfare should speak volumes to us all. Additionally, our own fallen nature opposes the Creator's way. Yet, even in this world, the pictures shine through for hearts willing to see, giving unquenchable hope for eternity.

There is a delightful practical progression in our experience. The pictures give us a general truths about our Creator when we first recognize them. Then as we learn more about the Creator through life and other means, for example in scriptures, we come to a deeper understanding and appreciation for the earthly picture. As we enter more fully into that, we then see deeper yet into the mind of the Creator.
